Mothers Union News

In March members enjoyed a quiet afternoon in the Fellowship Room led by Bill and Derek. We looked at ‘Faith and Action’ which is our Mothers’ Union theme for 2017. Bill took us through some thoughts on Faith which involved the lighting of candles, reaffirming our faith in the work of the Mothers’ Union and a meditation on Jesus’ parable of the Wedding Feast in Luke 14:7-14. Derek posed three questions plus reflective prayer on Action in our Church, in our Community and in the World. Our April meeting has an Easter Theme with members joining with the CWF during Holy Week for a service of Compline and refreshments in the Fellowship Room. In May we will have our Deanery Festival plus Deanery Tea at St Matthews Church Stretton and our Wave of Prayer in the Lady Chapel (see below). We will also hold our Annual Dinner at a Restaurant in Lymm on the 16th May.
