Remembering Loved Ones – All Saints Service on 5 November at 4.30pm

All Saints and All Souls’ Day (November 1 and November 2) are two important days in the Church’s calendar.

All Saints is a celebration of the great Christian hope of resurrection, of the saints in heaven (remembering that for the Early Church all Christians were “saints”.

The day which follows, All Souls’, is also known as “The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed”, a day on which weremember our loved ones, those who have gone before us and are now in God’s nearer presence.

This year the evening service (on Sunday 5 November at 4.30 pm) will mark this time of remembering. The form of service, the music and prayers will reflect our thanksgiving and our remembering of our loved ones. There will be the opportunity to light a candle. Names will be read out as part of the prayers.

If you wish someone to be remembered and named in the prayers of the Church, there is a sheet on which to enter names, on the table at the back of church. Alternatively, please contact The Revd Keith Hine directly on 01925 752213 or at keithehine@gmail.com

All are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served after the service.
