NEW ELECTORAL ROLL

Every six years a new church roll is prepared. Everyone is removed from the roll and everyone has to apply again.   To be on the electoral roll you must be a member of the Church of England (or of a Church in communion with the Church of England) and resident in the parish of St Mary’s Lymm. Alternatively, if you do not live in the parish but have habitually attended public worship in the parish during the period of six months prior to enrolment you are still entitled to be on the electoral roll. There are many advantages in being on the electoral roll, particularly in decision making regarding the operation of the church, voting rights at annual meetings, membership of the PCC and other parish and Diocesan groups. If you would like to be on the electoral roll at St Mary’s Lymm then please contact us via the website under “contact us” link at the top of the web page or pick up a form in church. Replies must be returned by 17 March 2017.
