One of the benches in the porch has been completely destroyed during the evening of Friday 12 January. This has been reported to the police. If anyone has information please ring the police quoting incident number 233. There have been previous incidents in the porch so if anyone sees anyone in the porch at night or acting suspiciously at any time please ring the police immediately. Rev Bev Jameson said “ it was heart breaking to see the bench deliberately smashed and the litter scattered in the porch. St Mary’s is the parish church of Lymm, a building beloved my many in the village whether they believe in God or not. For those of us who worship at St Mary’s it is very distressing.”
