We are very fortunate to have a vibrant Sunday School at St. Mary’s, attended by a wonderful and friendly group of children ranging from pre-school age through to 9/10 year olds. At an appropriate time, children from the Sunday School are invited to move up in to the Sunday Club.
We welcome all children to our Sunday School where a child’s faith is nurtured in a positive, safe learning environment. Christian care and compassion is modeled through caring and sharing among students, teachers, parents, clergy and the congregational family.
Our Sunday School meets in church each Sunday during school term time. We begin at 10.00am in church, sitting together at the front for the first part of the parish communion service. We then go into the Fellowship Room for our special activities.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children and stay with them in the Fellowship Room (younger children sometimes prefer this during their first few weeks of taking part) or to stay in the main body of the church and take part in the service.
The Sunday School is run by a dedicated group of caring, fun-loving leaders.
Parents wishing to know more about the Sunday School are invited to talk to the leaders in church on Sunday, or to phone them. Anna Monks can be contacted on 07718 614914.
